19 of the Russian's 21 titles have been won on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev secured his maiden trophy for over two years with victory over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has had a difficult period, achieving just one match at the big events and suffering a meltdown at the American major.
The player's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serve in specific - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and finally separating with former trainer Gilles Cervara.
Currently training with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a hard-fought competitive triumph over challenger Moutet.
This marks the player's maiden trophy since the Italian tournament and first on a hardcourt from March of 2023.
Success also indicates Medvedev has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one various competitions.
"It's the first time I'm at a competition with my children together, so to win a title is really nice," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I won when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had failed in his previous six title deciders, including in the German tournament in the past months.
Medvedev's defensive strategy and regular emotional displays on the tennis court had caused some to doubt if his skill to compete at the highest level was concluded.
Yet the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and play positively, reinforced by an improved serve.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the first set against the difficult opponent, securing 4 of the final five games to take the lead.
Both players exchanged service breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, attempting for his initial tour championship, took control to push for a final set.
Moutet rescued 4 early break points in a tight deciding set before the champion broke to that score to serve for the match.
Suitably, Medvedev secured the win with a rally at the net area, with Moutet unable to control a volley after a lengthy match.
