Automobiles in Germany's Town Found Smeared with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Law Enforcement
Officers reported they were notified by a man who noticed a automobile in Hanau covered with red-colored fluid

Roughly fifty cars have been smeared with what appears to be blood from a person in the Germany's city of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to police.

Cars, exterior walls and mailboxes were defaced, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they announced in a release.

Officers say they were alerted late on Wednesday evening, when a man observed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a reddish substance.

The substance had been drawn in the form of a swastika, they added.

Officers then discovered numerous other vandalized cars and residential walls in the surrounding area.

Swastikas are banned in Germany under laws prohibiting the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement report preliminary tests suggest the substance was probably human bodily fluid.

"There is still no lead as to where it came from; officials are currently not aware of any harm in relation with the occurrence," they added.

Local authorities announced they were working "to unravel the case" and have appealed to the public for information.

A senior official commented the vandalism left him without words and had to be solved rapidly.

"This act strikes at the very heart of Hanau and revives the pain of the right-wing terrorist attack half a decade ago," he stated on social media, referring to the death of nine victims by a gunman aiming at people of immigrant origin in 2020.
